Legendary Shaper: Bernie Crouch

Mad Dog Boards began with their creator, Bernie Crouch a renowned surfboard shaper with over 50 years of experience. Inducted into the 2023 Surfboard Builders Hall of Fame, the nomination, made by fellow legend Charlie Baldwin of New Smyrna Beach, FL, recognizes Crouch’s exceptional contributions to shaping and surfboard innovation.

Crouch’s passion for surfboard design took root more than half a century ago. Today, his dedication to the craft remains unwavering. His boards are celebrated for both their performance and their ability to adapt to the evolving demands of surfing. “This induction is a tremendous honor,” said Crouch. “To be recognized by my peers in the shaping community is deeply humbling.
